Millennium Pro/Am Boxing Club is a local Boxing Club located near Rotherham town centre just off Wortley road. The Club is now all on one floor with 2 rings, 14 bag and a full fitness and strength Room. All equipment is available to use e.g. gloves, head guards etc. We also stock equipment to sell at discounted prices. The Club has been running since 2000 and has already produced some fantastic boxers with multiple Yorkshire champions The Club runs sessions for all, from people who just want to keep fit through to amateur boxers and even professional boxers. news
25.4.2010 Martin Shaw had his Pro Debut and looked fantastic stopping his opponent in the 3rd round and Navid Mansouri kept his 100% record with a third win, this time going the full 6 rounds! see the Results Page for more details 23.4.2010 David Wong Chalked up another impressive win along with Mason making his debut with an impressive stoppage win! See the Results Page for more details 1.4.2010 Paul Scaife had his first bout and fought well, he lost the decision on points but it was still a good first showing! David Wong had his 5th fight again winning in impressive style. Cole Bentley also had his second bout winning to make it 2 wins out of 2 for him!! 13.3.2010 David Wong became the latest Millennium Boxer to win a championship, in only his 4th bout, winning in the final of the BUCS boxing championships by an impressive 10-2 margin! The pro boxers all boxed really well Chad winning his 3 all great fights looking really strong also great sparring with ricky burns ,Martin winning 1 out of 3 cracking fights 1 was taken with 36 hrs notice over in ireland .Maxi hughes winning all 4 of his in great style also some cracking sparring with Anthony crolla and Curtis woodhouse.Danny gerrard won his pro debut in great style in newark. Just signed Joe rogers from Parsons cross with a 67 amateur bouts.He is looking really good in training and his pro debut in barnsley on 23rd sept will be very exciting. All the boxers are now training hard ready for the new season to start. |
